When someone goes into the hospital for a blood transfusion, he or she receives blood that has been donated to be used to treat ailments ;such as, anemia, injury or surgery. They are dependent on someone else's blood, given for them, to help them. Without that donated blood, they won't have what they need for life. It's the same spiritually.
