Spiritual Blood Transfusion

When someone goes into the hospital for a blood transfusion, he or she receives blood that has been donated to be used to treat ailments ;such as, anemia, injury or surgery. They are dependent on someone else's blood, given for them, to help them. Without that donated blood, they won't have what they need for life.

It's the same spiritually. Jesus died on the cross and shed his blood, "donated" for us so that we can live. Just like the patient in the hospital, we have to receive the blood given for us. It is not enough to acknowledge it. The blood has to be received and flow in our veins to be activated and have the power for life in us. The Bible says, "Your blood speaks a better word" in Hebrews 12:24. The blood of Christ shed on the cross has been "donated" for our sakes. When we receive Christ as our Savior, His blood circulates in our "veins" and is activated to bring us health and healing, both in our earthly bodies and for eternity, giving us salvation through faith in Christ. It is in essence a spiritual blood transfusion.

When we are suffering from trauma, we again need a spiritual blood transfusion to receive healing through the blood of Christ. We need that donated blood moving in our bodies, circulating out the old and bringing in the new blood, Christ's blood. As we speak the blood, it speaks a better word, our healing.
